ECUC WORKSHOP: ANALYZING THE COMPATIBILITY OF EDDY CURRENT BRAKE WITH ROLLING STOCK, TRACK AND TRACKSIDE EQUIPMENT
26th September, 2013 at the Grand Sablon Hotel in Rue Bodenbroek 2/4, Brussels
ECUC project – Eddy Current Brake Compatibility – is a partially EU funded European R&D project focused on the analysis of the effect of Eddy Current Brakes in railway signalling systems and tracks. Our main objective is to prove that linear eddy current brake (ECB) is an effective and applicable solution for increasing the braking capacity of new high speed trains.
Programme The workshop will start around 9:00 and the first part of the day will focus on the presentation of the project’s first steps. The results of WP2 and WP3 of the project will be presented, followed by the dissemination activities of the project during the first year. The second part of the day will be dedicated to a debate on the EM compatibility between ECB and signalling systems and the interaction between ECB and the track. The workshop will close around 16:00.
Do not miss the event, block this date in your agenda and register now by sending an e-mail to nicolas.furio@unife.org and andrea.demadonna@unife.org confirming your attendance to the workshop before 31st August 2013.
