Material Declaration Template
The aim of the UNIFE Material Declaration Template is to harmonize the information requested by some of the main system integrators and to develop a common form that would be recognized by all of them. With this new document, the reporting on hazardous substances would be simplified for the suppliers and the same format could be delivered for each system integrator.
The release of the common template is a part of the series of actions the European Railway Industry have launched in order to best comply with the REACH regulation (EC 1907/2006) that entered into force on 1st June 2007 and has reinforced the legal provisions for manufacturers, downstream users and importers of substances.
The UNIFE Chemical Risk Topical Group members urge the industry suppliers to use the UNIFE Material Declaration Template which will be the official format for reporting on substance composition for their products.
- UNIFE Chemical Risks Topical Group has elaborated a revised version of the material declaration template (June 2021). Please note that the previous version may still be used until the end of 2021.
