Successful joint event organised by UNIFE and Bulgarian Presidency of EU in Sofia

On 13 April, UNIFE and the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union jointly organised in Sofia a High-level Presidency seminar on “EU support for the development of rail transport in Bulgaria and the Western Balkans”. More than 120 people, including many representatives of the Western Balkans, took part in this event during which high-level officials from the European Parliament (with MEP Andrey Novakov), the European Commission, the European Economic and Social Committee, the European Investment Bank, the European Union Agency for Railways (ERA) and the Shift2Rail Joint Undertaking presented to the audience the concrete support that the EU can bring to develop rail networks in the whole region.
