UNIFE General Assembly 2017

The 26th Annual UNIFE General Assembly, will take place in Barcelona on 21-23 June 2017 (Wednesday-Friday).


A preliminary programme outlining the meetings of the UNIFE Committees and Working groups*, the speaker line-up, official sessions, networking opportunities, as well as the technical and cultural visits will be available end of April.

*UNIFE Committees and Working groups are by invitation only and you should have received an email from the UNIFE representative that manages your committee. If you are interested in learning more about a committee, or are already member and are unsure of the timing of the meeting, contact the appropriate UNIFE staff member here.

UNIFE Committee Meetings: this year all UNIFE General Assembly meetings will take place at World Trade Center Barcelona (WTC). The members of the UNIFE Committees will be notified of the time and location of their committee meetings directly by the UNIFE Committee representative. General Assembly Day: high-level speakers from the EU institutions, the Government of Spain, UNIFE member companies, and Spanish rail stakeholders will participate in the programme. The Statutory Meeting will take place after lunch and will be followed by another discussion roundtable

On Friday, 23 June, two technical visits and one cultural visit will be organised at the same time (all visits will finish before 13:00-13:30).

The General Assembly is an event that is strictly reserved to UNIFE members and the attendance is free of charge, nonetheless registration is compulsory.  Registration for the event will open in early April and will be announced by email to all UNIFE members.


As you are probably aware, Barcelona is an extremely location this time of year, so you are highly advised to book your rooms as early as possible. We know from the scouting of locations that there are many events taking place throughout Barcelona the week of the General Assembly so we hope that one of the suggested hotels listed below will suit your needs and budget.
